Sightseeing points near the new artificial Lung Mei Beach
The new Lung Mei Beach in Tai Po New Territories opens today.
It is the second artificial beach in Hong Kong.
It is the first beach in the Tolo Harbor.

Tsz Shan Monastery
Apart from the active cycling and water sports, you may visit the quiet and holy Tsz Shan Temple near the Lung Mei Beach.
To visit the Buddhist temple donated by Hong Kong’s rich billionaire, Mr Li Ka Shing, you do need to register in advance.
Actually outside the entrance of the wooden temple, you can already see the towering Goddess of Mercy statue.
Pak Shek Kok Promenade
If you like, you can actually ride the bicycle from Tai Mei Tuk to Pak Shek Kok Promenade (about 40 mins bike ride).
From there, you can see the Plover Cove Reservoir, Goddess of Mercy Statue and Lung Mei Beach.
You can also take selfie with the “Golden Egg”, Charles K. Kao Auditorium, at the Hong Kong Science Park next to the promenade.
You can continue to ride the bicycle to Sha Tin (about 30 mins bike ide) to return the bike to the bicycle kiosks.
