Frank explores new lookout point and visit great reservoir
Apart from preparing for the coming Chinese Lunar New Year of cow, Frank the tour guide further enhances his Hong Kong private car tour itinerary and finds materials for blogging.
Frank adds the hidden but scenic Caldecott Road as a lookout point to enrich the New Territories private tour itinerary.
Frank goes to the great Plover Cove Reservoir to take photographs for blogging.
Frank also thinks that it is unnecessary to exaggerate the description for the recent unearthed waterworks.
This post is going to show readers Frank’s work in January 2021.
Frank hopes 2021 has a good beginning.
Everyone can prepare for the return of normality by the help of Covid-19 vaccines.
So Frank can serve his clients again in his Hong Kong private tour.
Frank adds hidden but scenic Caldecott Road to the New Territories tour itinerary
Frank the tour guide is eager to show the beauty of the New Territories to travelers.
Thus Frank always enhances the itinerary of his New Territories private car tour.
Frank just explores the hidden and short byroad near the Tai Po Road, Caldecott Road, to check whether it can be a good lookout point for clients or not.
The road is named after a governor in the colonial era with a short tenure, Sir Andrew Caldecott.
It is easy to reach this short road with a lot of expensive properties by private car.
Frank finds out that clients can see the nice view of West Kowloon, Stonecutters Bridge and container terminal from there.
There are cute wild monkeys waiting for people too.
Frank thinks the quiet Caldecott Road is a good observation point and photo taking point for clients.
Frank has decided to bring clients there before going to the main sightseeing point of the New Territories private tour itinerary, Monkey Hill (Kam Shan Country Park) and Kowloon Reservoir.

Frank visits the great Plover Cove Reservoir for blogging
Frank the tour guide then goes to the Plover Cove Reservoir to continue his field trip.
Frank just wants to take some good photos for his blog post.
The post shows the Plover Cove Reservoir was inaugurated on 20 Jan 1969.
Frank thinks this first reservoir built in the sea is really a great architecture.
Its long dam and giant facilities have blended with the natural landscape of the Plover Cove Country Park.
It is good for sightseeing, water sports and local dining.
It is good to recommend the great Plover Cove and other reservoirs to travelers.
As a Hong Kong tour guide, Frank is going to show the stunning Plover Cove and other nice old reservoirs to clients in his private tours.
Frank thinks it is no need to boast the recent unearthed waterworks
In January 2021, a recent unearthed waterworks at Bishop Hill in North Kowloon, which is almost demolished, is the top story in mass media.
It is the Sham Shui Po Fresh Water Break Pressure Tank, which is related to the above-mentioned Kowloon Reservoir.
It was built for practical use and had no decoration.
However, a lot of Hong Kong media make the exaggerated reports to call that heritage as the magnificent Roman style architecture!
They even boast that it is similar to the World Heritage in Turkey, Basilica Cistern!
The local politicos criticize the government heavily for its negligence in preserving Hong Kong’s relic.
Frank the tour guide is glad to see that Hong Kong finds a waterworks relic.
However, Frank is afraid that the wise travelers will laugh at the exaggeration of Hong Kong media when they really see the relic.
The society should give enough time to the government to grade the relic.
Then government can restore the old underground building and decide its future use.
Frank hopes he can show this Sham Shui Po Fresh Water Break Pressure Tank to clients in the near future in his private tour.
Frank hopes 2021 has a good start
Chinese New Year of Cow is coming.
Frank the tour guide hopes everyone can have a good start in 2021 and the New Lunar New Year of Cow.
The new year should be the time for us to rebuild the normality patiently by the help of Covid-19 vaccines.
Frank hopes he can serve clients in his Hong Kong private tour soon.
