Analyze Hong Kong Ocean Park reform’s benefits to travelers
Hong Kong Ocean Park, which was hard hit by the riot in 2019 and pandemic in 2020, announces its rejuvenation plan.
Frank the tour guide is going to analyze what benefits travelers can get from Ocean Park’s reform.
Frank also benefits from the Ocean Park reform.
On one hand, Ocean Park does save the closed major sightseeing attraction in the southern part of Hong Kong Island, Jumbo Floating Restaurant at Aberdeen (Please read Frank’s post about saving Jumbo Restaurant).
On the other hand, Frank can add Ocean Park’s cable car ride, Panda gallery etc. to his Hong Kong private tour itineraries in the future.
This can further enrich clients’ easy Hong Kong private tour experience.
Free admission, just pay for what you do, better control on spending
In the near future, travelers won’t need to pay for the Ocean Park admission fee.
The ticket counters at the entrance will be removed.
Travelers may roam around to see the free water show and take selfies at the Old Hong Kong retro zone at the lower park area.

Travelers just need to pay separately for the animal exhibitions, amusement rides, souvenirs, food etc. at the new retail, dining and entertainment zone in the lower park area and at the attraction zones in the upper park area.
As travelers just pay for what they really do and get, travelers can control how much they spend easily.
Travelers won’t have the feeling of waste as travelers won’t need to pay a high lump-sum price ($498 HKD per person) for the tickets but cannot do everything in the park eventually.
Travelers can pay strategically to focus on what they really like.
See the cute pandas more easily
In the past, if travelers just wanted to see the three cute pandas in Ocean Park, travelers still needed to buy the full price ticket.

The $498 per person ticket price was too high!
It was very expensive for the families to do so.
Actually travelers just need to pay $10 Hong Kong Dollar per adult to say hello to the panda family of four in Hong Kong’s neighbor, Macau. (Please browse Macau Panda Pavilion’s website)
The seniors over 65 and kids below 12 can even enjoy free of charge benefit!
In the near future, the fans can pay a lower price to say hi to the pandas in the Ocean Park more easily.
Take the amazing cable car ride more easily
Besides the Ocean Express train, Ocean Park connects the lower park area and the upper park area by the cable car.
Actually this “public transportation” has the potential to be an independent attraction.
During the Ocean Park cable car ride, passengers can see the colorful lower park area, the green mountain, beautiful Deep Water Bay Beach and Repulse Bay Beach and stunning South China Sea view.

It can be another Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car on Hong Kong Island!
In the near future, Ocean Park cable car ride will open to everyone.
Travelers can take it easily by paying a reasonable price to see the great view and go to the new attractions at the upper park area.
New attractions for different travelers
The Ocean Park will be transformed to be a resort area.
There will be a lot of new attractions for different travelers.
The sporty travelers may like the new adventure zone with Xraycer and Zipline and wellness-themed zones with glamping, trekking, meditation and yoga retreats.
The families may like the Water World.
It is Hong Kong’s first year-round and all-weather water park with a man-made beach, a surf rider, and an eight-lane mat racer etc.
Ocean Park plans to open the Water World in the summer of 2021.
This largely depends on the development of Covid-19 pandemic.
Frank’s private tour also benefits from Hong Kong Ocean Park reform
The Ocean Park reform also benefits Frank the tour guide.
Apart from saving the closed major landmark Jumbo Floating Restaurant, the reform offers a lot of free or reasonably-priced attractions, Panda Gallery, Ocean Park Cable Car etc. to Frank.
Frank may add them to his Hong Kong private tour itineraries for the clients to experience.
This can enrich clients easy private tour experience.
Frank hopes vaccines can stop the spread of Covid-19.
Everything can return to normality.
Ocean Park can reopen again.
Frank can serve the clients again in his private car tour service.
