According to the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, the common native species in Kam Shan Country Park are Melastoma species, Rose Myrtle, Acronychia, Hong Kong Gordonia, Fragrant Litsea, Red Machilus, Pop-gun Seed and Ivy Tree, and the rather special Ram-rod Bamboo.
