Aberdeen Fishing Village’s belated video and new changes
This video does not show you Hong Kong’s Aberdeen Fishing Village now.
It is a belated video, which shows you the trawlers, sampans and Jumbo Ferries at Aberdeen Harbor, one year ago.
Due to the 2019 riots and 2020 pandemic, the three types of boats have different fates.
Most trawlers remain busy.
Some sampans change the functions.
All Jumbo Ferries disappear.

The big sampans for the locals continue to go back and forth between the shore of Aberdeen and Ap Lei Chau Island.
Tourist sampans are waiting for the inbound tourists to come back after the pandemic.
As there is no inbound tourists, the smaller sampans with colorful decorations, which mainly served the tourists for the fishing village sampan rides, join other common sampans to serve the fishermen and sailors to go back and forth between shore and their workplaces at sea.

However all the Jumbo Ferries with the old style decoration have disappeared because their mother Jumbo Floating Restaurant has closed until further notice due to 2019 riots and 2020 pandemic.

If the famous Jumbo cannot reopen after the pandemic, we can only see the friendly captains and sailors of Jumbo Ferries from the old photos and videos again.
